Getting Started
Sign in and create your vault in about 10 minutes. Check in every 183 days to maintain protection.
Ante Vaults protects your crypto assets by ensuring they reach your intended recipients if something happens to you.
Step 1: Sign In
Sign in with your email. No password to remember: enter your email and confirm the code we send you. A smart wallet is created for you.
When you sign in with email, we create a smart wallet tied to your email. No seed phrase to manage - sign in from any device. This wallet is also used when you're added as a guardian or recipient by email.
Secure your email. Your email security is your account security. Enable 2FA.
What You'll Need
Guardians vote to transfer your assets if you become inactive. They can't access your funds directly. Pick 2-3 trusted contacts.
Recipients receive your assets if a transfer is approved. Usually family or beneficiaries.
Step 2: Create Your Vault
Tap "Create Vault"
From the home screen, start the wizard.
Choose your purpose
Legacy, Backup, Gift, Shared, or Custom.
Set your recovery email
The person your assets hand off to. Your vault lives on Ethereum.
Set check-in rules
Check-in interval (60-90 days) and grace period.
Review and create
Confirm settings and deploy.
Step 3: Add Recipients
Recipients receive your assets. Add them by email.
Go to People tab
Open your vault, tap People.
Tap "Add Recipient"
Enter their email; a wallet is created for them.
Email is easiest for non-crypto family - they just sign in.
Step 4: Add Guardians
Guardians vote on transfers. They never access your funds directly.
Tap "Add Guardian"
Enter their email. We recommend 2-3 guardians.
Set threshold
How many must agree (e.g., 2-of-3).
Sponsor gas (optional)
Send guardians ETH so they can vote when needed.
Add a second email account you control as a guardian. It protects against losing one account without relying on anyone else. Keep a 7+ day timelock as your main protection.
Done!
You'll see "All quiet" status - everything is set up correctly.
Only ongoing task: Check in every 183 days (~2 min). If you miss one, you'll get notifications and have plenty of time to respond.
For large holdings, use a Safe multisig as your vault owner. Even if one key is compromised, your vault stays secure. See the Multisig Setup Guide for instructions.
Already have a Safe? Import it directly when creating a vault.
